High-temperature combustion, annealing and melting processes are usually executed without pressure at temperature up to 1800 °C (3272 °F). BL3-01 Surface Temperature Thermometer attaches to pipes by means of a spring and rotating hook.Without the spring, the instrument can be used on horizontal surfaces.

A strong permanent magnet enables the BL3-02 thermometer to be easily attached to horizontal or vertical surfaces. It is ideal for checking surface temperatures prior to the application of special finishes.
